EB-3 Skilled vs. EB-3 Unskilled
The difference lies in accumulated trade experience. The Skilled category typically has a shorter visa queue and higher position wages than the Other Workers category. The EB-3 Skilled Trade America program works only with the Skilled category, with a mandatory threshold of at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
This is also why the program is especially careful with job titles. Someone who actually works in maintenance but is listed as a production worker on their contract may be pushed into the unskilled category.
